A contingent of Alliance Romaine members joined in the historic, 250 000-person strong Earth Day March which took place last April 22 in Montreal. We participated in this record-busting mobilization to display our opposition to the Plan Nord and denounce the provincial government’s policy of selling subsidized electricity to refineries and aluminum smelters. An impressive, 1500-person Earth Day demonstration was also held the same day in Sept-Îles.
